A Single Man - Official Trailer [HD]

Movie Trailer - 1993 - True Romance

Blue Velvet

The Coen Brothers!

The Coen Brothers are some of my favorite movie makers. They're movies rely heavily on symbolism, and someone always dies! I've always loved their films because they're films are through the perspective of someone who is born to lose.
They're latest film 'A Serious Man' is based on the book of job. It's not a surprise since it's very jewish and very depressing, but that's the Coen Brothers for you, and that's why we love them.
I think that they're next project should be a movie redition of Candide that isn't as surreal as Terry Southern's Candy.

The Hondells - Hot Rod High

The Hondells - Sea Cruise

Hondells - Little Honda

My Uncle Was In The Hondells

The Hondells were a surf rock band that got to go on tour with The Supremes and Chuck Berry. They opened up for The Beach Boys mostly, played a lot with Herman's Hermits, played USO shows, and ran around with Glen Campbell. They were short lived, but my Uncle Dick was the band leader. I knew him well, I have Thankgiving with him every year. Unfortunately he died recently. So here's The Hondells on Shindig and whatever youtube has.

Terry Southern!

I love him! The only thing that he hasn't done to make me incredibly happy is team up with Alejandro Jordorowsky to make the most weird movie that you'd probably have a hard time understanding. Know that there would be a lot of symbolism that will make you feel like you've learned something, but you don't really know what it was.
He wrote the books 'Candy' and 'The Magic Christian', which were both made into movies. He also wrote the screen play of 'The Magic Christian', as well as 'Easy Rider' and 'Barbarella', and co-wrote 'Dr. Strangelove' and 'The Loved One'.
He has been such an influence that he appeared in a cameo in 'The Man Who Fell To Earth' and 'The Rolling Stones' documentary 'Cocksucker Blues'. He is also on the cover of 'The Beatles' album 'Sgt. Pepper' (Ringo Starr was in 'Candy' and all The Beatles were in 'The Magic Christian').
As influential as he was I find that most people don't know who he was. This is his 15 minutes of fame in our current pop culture...on some shitty blog...
