Cannibal Corpse - I Cum Blood (Metal Spoken Word)

MY PEE PEE

My Trip To LA 11/10 - 11/12/12

I didn't take many pictures this time. I was down here to balance out my other trip to the bay. I went to Total Trash in SF and Oakland, and I saw Audacity, Shannon and The Clams, Nobunny, The Coachwhips, Traditional Fools, Burnt Ones, and Amplified Heat. I got to hangout in the green room with them. Cool deal.

As for LA, I went to attend the Red Hen Press luncheon. I met a bunch of poets and writers. They were all great people. I got to meet John Rechy, that was really great! I also went to a reading at Skinny's where I met Iris Berry, Pleasant Gehman, and Cherry Vanilla. Hung out with Harvey and Ken Kubernick, got a bunch of stuff. Met Tom from Freak Beat Records. All kinds of cool stuff.
I went to The Troubadour to see Heavy Cream, Pangea, and Those Darlins. I got to hangout with Heavy Cream, they were great! I hung out with  Pangea because they used to hang out at my old stomping grounds back in the day. All around great time.

God damn. I gotta see it to believe it.

This guy's plate said TV Grafx. HAHAHA

Your love is king

My Trip To NYC 10/17 - 10/23/12

I went to New York City as the representative of KCPR at the CMJ Music Marathon. I stayed a little longer to get a cheaper flight. Luckily I missed hurricane Sandy by 5 days.
Here's the view from the apartment I was staying at.

The guy in the background is the most goth dude I've ever seen in my life. Had Flock of Seagulls hair. I wanted to shake his hand.

Colleen's awesome apartment. Apparently it's a dead giveaway that you're from California if you say awesome a lot or like. Also, Californians speak in a kind of questioning way. I don't think I'm that bad, but it was noticeable.

Colleen's cat, Billi.

I am Cornholio, I need TP for my bunghole.

Sweet clock. People don't really say sweet in NYC.

This is the oldest church ever. The dude that founded New York is buried in the back. Fuck New Amsterdam.

Washington Square

Williamsburg, Brooklyn. So many fucking hipsters. Just stay away from Bedford and keep to the side streets. I like the Polish population a lot more. AND THE HASIDIC JEWS! YES!

Totally Reuben's art.

There was a garden on the roof of the apartment.

There was a nice backyard behind the apartment that I went to. Some lady stared me down hard when I went back there. The next day there was a sign that said no one out in the back yard past 11pm and no smoking in the backyard. Fuck you, I wasn't doing that shit.

Hands down my new favorite place to eat. Baohaus. I can't even think about it, I'll get depressed that there's only one in New York.

This is the first thing I took in when I arrived.

Who the fuck would feed these assholes?

I hung out here a lot.

And here.

The Pyramid Club. Debbie Harry and Andy Warhol did a feature on this club. Lady Bunny, RuPaul, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Deee-Lite performed here.

Andy!

Man, I hope your Library nightclub isn't as shitty as ours. My friend got ruffied as ours and there are terrible cow bros and bro hoes everywhere.

So many shows.

Joan Blondell

Myrna Loy

Joan Crawford

It was all a comedic act when I stood outside "lost" for a long time and made everyone inside uncomfortable.

This is piece of crap used to be CBGBs, not it's like punk Disneyland. I was so pissed off, and I felt like a douchbag standing there with my Ramones shirt on. They probably thought that was real cute.

They put the "authentic real wall of CBGBs" behind glass like it's a sideshow.

NYU

Inside joke.

Tribeca

Noho

The Mudd Club

The Flatiron

Madison Square Park

Hotel Chelsea. Where Nancy Spungen was found stabbed to death by Sid Vicious. Dylan Thomas died here. Andy Warhol's 'Chelsea Girls' is about this place. Also there's Nico's album 'Chelsea Girl'. LaRoux shot a video here. Not surprised. Was once home to Iggy Pop, Allen Ginsberg, Charles Bukowski, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Janis Joplin, Mark Twin, O. Henry, Dylan Thomas, Arthur Miller, William S. Burroughs, Gore Vidal, Tennessee Williams, Jack Kerouac (funny, my friends live in the house he lived in here), Jean-Paul Sartre, Thomas Wolfe, Valarie Solanas, Stanley Kubrick, Mitch Hedberg, Dennis Hopper, Ethan Hawke, Eddie Izzard, Elliott Gould, Uma Thurman, Warhol Stars Viva, Ultra Violet, Mary Woronov, Holly Woodlawn, Andrea "Whips" Feldman, Nico, Paul America, Rene Ricard, Brigid "Polk" Berlin, and Edie Sedgwick (Edie practically burned the place down when she fell asleep smoking), Jane Fonda, The Grateful Dead, Jeff Beck, Chic Corea, Dee Dee Ramone, Tom Waits, Edith Piaf, Joni Mitchell, Alice Cooper, Johnny Thunders, Jimi Hendrix, Sid Vicious, Canned Heat, Lance Loud, Richard Hell, Anthony Kiedis, Falco, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Jasper Johns, Robert Crumb, and so many more. There's just too much to say about this place.

HAHAHAHA Cher.

Meat Packing District

Greenwich Village

Awesome gay dive bar

They have a Mercury Lounge in Santa Barbara too.

I'm Batman

The bathroom at The Cake Shop

So true

What the fuck?! There can only be one 91.3 and that's KCPR. Or at least that's what I said while I was drunk.

Yep, that's better. Thanks for giving me that Sharpie Miss Bartender.

Katz's Deli

I'll have what she's having (that was filmed here). Hi, Iris.

This used to be The Two Boots Pioneer Theatre.

This used to be The Fillmore East. Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, John Lennon, Iron Butterfly, Jefferson Airplane, The Allman Brothers, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Led Zeppelin, The Byrds, Elvin Bishop, Albert King, Van Morrison, Sha Na Na, Joe Cocker, Miles Davis, Derek and The Dominos, The Fugs, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Humble Pie, Grateful Dead, King Crimson, Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper, Love, John Mayall, Mountain, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Ten Years After, Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, The Beach Boys, Country Joe McDonald, and many more.

ZOLTAR! That little girl might be a confused older woman tomorrow morning if she makes the wrong wish.

METAL!

This used to be Club 57. Klaus Nomi, Cyndi Lauper, John Sex, Keith Haring, The B-52s, Fab Five Freddy, The Fleshtones, Jean-Michel Basquiat, RuPaul, and many more.

This used to be Max's Kansas City. Allen Ginsberg, Philip Glass, William S. Burroughs, The Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, New York Dolls, Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Wayne County, Patti Smith, Bob Marley and The Wailers, Bruce Springsteen, Tim Buckley, Tom Waits, Emmylou Harris, Odetta, Gram Parsons, Country Joe, Cherry Vanilla (hungout with her in LA this last weekend, she's great!), Television, The Ramones, The Heartbreakers, Suicide, Blondie, Talking Heads, Mink DeVille, The Cramps,  The B-52s, The Fleshtones, Klaus Nomi, Sid Vicious, Devo, Beastie Boys, Bad Brains, Andy Warhol and all of his superstars, and a lot more. Andrea "Whips" Feldman, who was a Warhol star, used to scream it's showtime at this place and stick a coke bottle in her snatch.

This is the first location of Andy Warhol's factory. It's a parking garage now.

This is the location of Andy's second factory, The Silver Factory. Located in the Decker Building. This is where all the action happened.

This is the location of Andy's third factory AKA the interview factory. This was less of a party place and more of a business set up. Brigid Berlin handled most of it since Andy became a shut in after he was shot by Valerie Solanas. It affected him poorly. It's now a Petco below.....

I love Billy Joel, and there's Broadway.

St Marks was the punkest place back in the day.

NY City Library. It's mostly a reference place.

Snazzy area. I heard whores used to hangout on this street.

Grand Central Station

Chrysler Building

The Empire State Building

Radio City Music Hall

This is where the magic of SNL, Conan, and all the other things of my childhood happened. Magical!

I wanted to go ice skating.

David Letterman lives here right?

This is where Studio 54 used to be. This is where you went if you didn't want a nose anymore. Ludes and dudes. A lot of famous people hung out here, like everyone who was anyone in the 70s.

Time Square.

I cried. I was here practically 2 weeks after John Lennon's 72nd birthday.
