R.I.P. Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor died on the 23rd.

Cleopatra has some wonderful make up. I used to do my makeup like this because I loved it so much.

HIV/AIDS was addressed as a serious issue with the help of Liz stressing the issue. Rock Hudson's death was not in vein with the thanks to her.

My aunt remembers when Liz started out. My aunt didn't really like her at first because she "looked older then she was".

She loved loved loved the daylights out of jewelry. She was the owner of the Krupp diamond, the Taylor-Burton diamond, and Quenn Mary the 1st of England's La Peregrina Pearl.

Liz was married 8 times, but said she never went to bed with them until marriage.

A memory of when I was 16 was when I had my junior photo taken. I got dressed up and looked nice. I was so proud of myself. I gave the photo to my relatives and they all said I looked beautiful. My aunt told me that I looked cute and pretty. I told her that everyone else said I looked beautiful. After I had said that my aunt looked at me and told me "the only woman in this world that was beautiful was Elizabeth Taylor." I never fished for complements again.

One day when I was a freshman in high school I had to be fitted for my choir dress. They were dresses that we wore when we performed concerts. When I was being sized up there were problems finding a dress for me because I'm so tiny, but my hips and bust didn't fit in any of the small dresses they had. I was very upset and when I got home from school I told me aunt. My aunt said that Elizabeth Taylor claimed she was a size six, but she always knew that couldn't be because her breast were so big. She told me if they could fit Liz Taylor's balloons into a dress, that she was sure they'd find a dress to fit me. Indeed they did. I believe a size 4.

Isn't it so tragic that someone so talented and beautiful could die in such a terrible way? So it is true that all our idols are dying now. The last of a dying breed.
